Does Ratatouille have an American Cousin??

Looking for Ediciones Seix Barral (because one of my ex-colleagues of thr RTO'92 Olympic Television is working there now) I stumbled upon Firmin, the rat who lives in a library and reads, reads and reads....
A book by Sam Savage, that I do have to read !
I found a Spanish introduction of the book in Spain on YouTube. See for yourself!
By the way, sitting in the waitingroom of a French hairdresser in Marvejols (known because of The Beast of Gevaudan), I read an article about rats. Rats do have a leader of the pack and this leader nor anyone of the group touches any food beforeone of them has tried (tasted) the new food and onlywhen after 24 hours this special rat does not show any sign of illness, the group starts to eat!
If this is true, the role of Ratatouille in the Pixar movie is not so fictional as one might think!
